What do you look for in a friend? Some of the characteristics of Jesus are forgiveness, gentleness, loyalty, and truthfulness. He is the true friend. More of His qualities are seen in Matthew 14:28-31 when Peter walked on the water to Jesus. Also, in John 15:12, Jesus commanded us to love each other like He did. He laid down His life for us. He has called us friends. He loves us no matter what we do. We can trust Jesus as our "Ride or Die" friend and we can find friends that demonstrate the same characteristics as Jesus did.
