When writing his letters throughout the New Testament, Paul always identifies himself as an Apostle, called by God. This is found throughout the New Testament with James, Peter and Jude, as well. Everything they write about from there on out is based upon their identity of Christ.

You can build your identity around any number of things today. But, there is real power in a God given identity. Take Jesus, for instance. All throughout the New Testament we find that Jesus is the bread of life, the light of the world, the good shepherd, the gate for the sheep, the resurrection and the life, the way, the truth and the life, and the true vine.

Who are you? What is your identity? Take time to pray, read the Bible and discover your identity in Christ today. You ARE a child of God. You ARE forgiven. Let God give you your identity and let that guide you.
