David is the Owner and CEO of Pure Hockey, a chain of retail stores that sells hockey gear & apparel, including inline & ice skates, sticks & pads.

Before David joins the show, Nina is joined by Kelly Babstock, professional women's hockey player and the all-time leading scorer for Quinnipiac University’s women’s hockey program. Nina and Kelly discuss their “Moms Who Puck” team of hockey moms, and Babs weighs in on how we can all grow the sport of women’s hockey together.

Nina and David discuss his beginnings, and how he grew a single sporting goods store into a nationwide chain of Pure Hockey retail outlets. They talk about the impact of COVID-19 on David’s business, the importance of establishing a strong company culture, how Pure Hockey is working to grow the game for both men and women, and David shares his advice for students graduating college and entering the job market.
