This offering A POINT ABOVE featuring SOUR (00:40) & ICARUS LA PIGEON (02:35) is in the vein of what can be expected from our more traditional episodes; two or more explorations bound by the nature and vibe of the instrumentals that house these compositions. This is not a full episode, it is a small sampling of what will be, come April 27th 2020. Each episode will vary in time ranging from 3-15 minutes. This podcast will pivot between spoken word & rap, while tiptoeing on everything in between.

SOUR [@ 00:40]

Cantaloupe yogurt and manuka

All this sweetness around you

And you still won't look up

Wooooo

The sound of thick sweetness

As we drudge through freedom

I don't make choices

Pass the extent of voices

That rope the decisions

I have driven

Through corrals of confusion

Is this the movement

Chest bucking

Head ducking

Man leave it lone

Words my father never realized

In a restless life

This ain't for him

We can't go in

Loops

Designed for coupes

As we steady truck along

Steady, steady is where we belong

Talk about ownership

You Talk about onus the burden

To which you were beholden

My own father labeled us as bastards

If that's how you see than that's how you mask us

Task us

As unwanted freight

As we begin to fray

Unravelled by the weight

Of your inability to wait

Patience isn't a part of your fabric

The cannons

Of your rage

Occupy our stage

But we continue to play

How many lines do we recite

Until we reignite

Uneasy moments that burn through this life

I don't have a spare existence

Tired with this current mode of livin'

Stop before you run us flat

We don't come into this world starting from scratch

The lead weights

Of continued fate

The cinderblocks of necessity

Dictate how you dress me

Robed in your fear

How do I allow life to come near

ICARUS LA PIGEON  [@ 02:35]

Steady child

I can't let you into the wild

Less for your safety

more for my peace

Piece  of mind

A piece of mankind

Piece of the pie

Take a slice out the sky

Bring it back home

But I won't let you fly

I don't want your wings clipped

Thing is

Choose the feathers you wanna shed

Before you move ahead

Both eyes closed

Let the mind roam

There's more space in imagination

The type of area to let free will in a nation

The closed doors take on the life of coffins

What goes on in

That arena

Requires clean up

Ardmore that ine bedroom apartment

The four of us were lodged in

L.A.

If you wanna know the way

Time I began to grip

That our ground could actually shift

I sift

Through routine

Pulling on the loose strings

Of recollection

The vaguer the memory the better the protection

It's a different type of low

Of a kind I can't let go

How can I give you more

When I'm empty in my core

The past fuels nothing

We've patrolled this dozens

Of times

Rechalking the outline

Of dead points

In the hopes argument will anoint

One of us ruler of I told you so

Hold

For the tisk tisk

Now ask

If we don't exercise risk

Then how do we lift

Chance

You know its possible to roll dice

On advice

We'll land

On gods plan

Seems easier to leave fault to sky

Than to burden

Your own person

With why

Heavy Heavy...

*** As we find ourselves floating in a sea of uncertainty, alongside everyone in this global community treading amongst the waves of disbelief and belief we find ourselves making adjustments to keep afloat. We have been unable to work within the recording studio to exercise edits, engineering and further recording, for this we have to delay our intended release date from April 27th 2020 to sometime in late May of 2020. We will continue to release a steady stream of bonus material (unrefined content) until we can officially provide you the listener with our intended vision of this podcast sometime in late May 2020. Thank you for listening and please continue to listen, it would mean everything to us if you could spread the words if you dig what you are hearing.

We will distribute our show in it's full format and episodes sometime in late May 2020.

Be safe & keep well,

H V B R presents NIGHT WORLD

A Podcast.

Journey with us into BEING.

We explore existence through the lens of family, the immediate family and the greater family that is the society and world we occupy and exist with. We are interested in how family influences us and how we inform it- and how this relationship impacts us and our world.

These explorations come from our own lives.

This is a weekly podcast coming to you every FRIDAY. Each week we will deliver a piece of sonic art that will vary in form and time. The backdrop, the music that is our canvas will also be different every week. We want to take you on a journey, for this journey to be as fulfilling as possible it is important to us that we provide you the listener varied settings and scenery. Each episode will vary in time ranging from 3-15 minutes. This podcast will pivot between spoken word & rap, while tiptoeing on everything in between.
