In that episode, he clarified why it was important for parents to get more involved by having conversations with schoolteachers, principals. He encourages parents to become school governors.

In this episode, Melissa shares her experiences as a full-time working mother with two boys. She reveals the many conversations she has had with her child’s headteacher. You will hear what Melissa has learnt, about the impact school policies, culture, lack of leadership, and diversity can have on a child. Melissa contrasts different approaches by different headteachers and the results she observes.

During the Covid lockdown, Melissa was encouraged to take a more active role in her children’s education and worked with other mothers to develop a support network to share experiences.
