There is a reason why audiences fell in love with bubbly Miranda Gore Browne on the first episode of Great British Bake Off. She is as warm and bubbly in real life as she was on the show all those years ago.

After a fast tracked corporate life at M&S in charge of millions of pounds of budgets (and using cake to extract more) the birth of her second child caused her to step back as it does for so many women. Baking for friends became her outlet and a way of expressing that she cared without saying the words. Miranda Gore Browne became the biscuit fairy. Her heart shines in this interview as I get to know her more of her story especially her inspiring line ‘It’s more than cake, it’s a philosophy for life.' 

In this podcast we talk about what went on behind the cameras in The Great British Bake Off contest. As well as her Marks & Spencer career which eventually led her to roll out the successful cafe concept. She also talks about her fight to allow family to see their loved ones in care. 

About Miranda
Miranda Gore Browne achieved widespread acclaim as a finalist on the first series of BBC2’s The Great British Bake Off. She was highly praised for her home baking, which was described consistently as both delicious and beautiful. Mary Berry remarked that Miranda reminded her of herself when she was younger. Miranda made a great impression with her “signature bake” biscuits in the form of perfectly dainty decorated shoes, pretty dresses, and stylish handbags.
