At the Super Nice Club, we try to maintain and encourage positivity, so we don't often bash things. But this week we kinda sorta made a special exception for that "wonderful, horrible" social media app called Nextdoor. Helping us with some no-holds-barred take downs, but also recommending inventive upgrades, is our guest acclaimed writer, comedian, podcast and talkshow host SPIKE FERESTEN.

Spike is known for his work on Seinfeld, David Letterman, and hosting his own Talkshow with Spike Feresten. He currently hosts the popular podcast Spike's Car Radio and continues to write for television and film.

A few of the things we talk about in this freewheeling hour of Nice Work!:

> Spike’s brilliant money-back plan to use Nextdoor to instantly make YOUR neighborhood 10% nicer!

> How to talk to people who have totally different views than you in a super nice, non-combative way

> Spike’s Big Leap of Faith Moment: From intern to Seinfeld writer and beyond

> How getting fired from David Letterman turned into a golden opportunity

> Staying super nice (or even just plain old nice) when combatting racism, sexism and other ignorantisms.

> Why smoking is awesome --- for people who want to die from cancer after having their legs go gangrenous before being hacked off

> The difference between DREAMING about doing something and DOING SOMETHING and how that relates to early death by cigarette

> The #1 thing to look for when choosing a car mechanic

> The future awesome super nice TV show you want to see

> The mystery of Brentwood’s disappearing land tortoises

Also, have you been voted off the Nextdoor island? We want to hear about it. Best story (submitted via IG reels and tag us) wins a hoodie.
