Epsiode H003 - Being Black

In this episode of Nice To Meet You, I highlight previous episodes discussing Black people in America and our experiences. Kenneth shares his experience in high school and how he was tired of learning the same history over and over again. Stephanie talks about the importance of knowing where you’re from, what she wants Black Americans to know, and comments on the relationship between Black men and women. Carlos talks about growing up in Pro-Black household and the effort his mom put in to making sure he knew his history. Ronald tells me what it’s like to be a Black man in America and always being perceived as a threat. Khary talks about learning about other forms of black and what it means to be pro-black. Isis reflects on the diaspora and tells the story of how her mom fostered her confidence in her Blackness.
