This week on the Next Shift Hockey Podcast we are joined by Erie, Pennsylvania native and former Mercyhurst, ECHL, KHL Goaltender and 2018 Team USA Olympian, Ryan Zapolski.

Ryan chatted with us about growing up in Erie and making the late switch from skater to goaltender at age 12, his path from PA High School Hockey to Mercyhurst and the Pros, playing in the 2018 Winter Olympics for team USA, some advice for players at the end of their careers and Ryan’s upcoming season with the new hockey league in town, 3ICE.
