"The Phantom Of The Open" tells the unlikely true story of Maurice Flitcroft, a British golfer who, with no prior experience, managed to sneak his way into the pros and received the worst score ever recorded at the Open Championship. His determination to keep on playing and improve made him an inspiring figure for many to this day. Director Craig Roberts ("Tolkien") and screenwriter Simon Farnaby ("Paddington 2") came together to tell his story, and they do it with precision, liveliness, and delight. Both of them were kind enough to spend time talking about how they came across the project, working with Mark Rylance and Sally Hawkins, what they hope audiences will take away from Maurice's story, and more. Please check out the film, now playing in theaters from Sony Pictures Classics, have a listen down below and enjoy. Thank you!
