Hello, my friends. In preparation for tomorrow's episode (which is about....well, everything, but especially about the intersection of big tech/big corp/big government), let's talk about the Facebook Oversight Board. I cannot overstate how big of a deal I think this topic is. Please do not skip this one.

Y'all. I have strong skepticism about this idea, and I want to be very candid about that. To try to give the benefit of the doubt to Facebook (😬), I took most of my information directly from the Oversight Board's official website. Today, we're covering:

- how this board formed

- who sits on it today

- what it aspires to do

- what it has done so far

Mark Zuckerberg wanted something like a "Supreme Court for Facebook," so he funded and built one. It has the potential to transform international norms. It's is the B-est of F Ds.

If this topic freaks and geeks (see what I did there?) you out as it does me, I made a Twitter List of the Oversight Board's official account, members of the Board who are on Twitter, and people who are doing interesting analysis around the Board.

Looking forward to your thoughts and questions, as always.
