Roger Stone was convicted for obstruction, witness tampering and false statements to Congress. He was to report for a 40 month sentence when the President commuted his sentence. Republican senators, Mitt Romney and Pat Toomey, criticized Trump’s decision to free Stone. “Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president,” Romney wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

China said it would bar entry to Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) and State Department religious freedom ambassador Sam Brownback, because of their criticism of the regime's treatment of people of faith.
