Yesterday was primary day in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Utah. Colorado using a universal vote by mail system established in 2014 had almost zero issues and reported the results that evening. John Hickenlooper - former Governor who also ran for the Democratic nomination - won the Democratic Senate Primary. Oklahoma voted to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act after their Republican state legislature refused to act. Another one of President Trump’s primary candidates lost, Representative Scott Tipton was a four-term incumbent backed by the president who lost to a gun rights activist who has supported QAnon. We still don’t know the results in Utah for the Republican nomination for Governor. Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox narrowly leads former Gov. Jon Huntsman but there are still ballots to be counted.

Coronavirus cases have increased 80% over the past two weeks. We are currently seeing 40,000 new cases a day. Dr. Fauci warned yesterday that could reach 100,000 cases a day if we do not get the current surge under control. Joe Biden presented his plan to address the corona virus epidemic yesterday and accused President Trump of surrending to the virus.

The AP released a report on the use of IUDs, abortions, and sterilization by China against the Uighur population and the details are horrific. “Birth rates in the mostly Uighur regions of Hotan and Kashgar plunged by more than 60% from 2015 to 2018, the latest year available in government statistics. Across the Xinjiang region, birth rates continue to plummet, falling nearly 24% last year alone — compared to just 4.2% nationwide, statistics show.”
