The House will vote today on a resolution calling on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from office. The two men spoke for the first time since the insurrection yesterday in the Oval Office. 

The House are also expected to vote tomorrow on the article of impeachment introduced yesterday.

Two members of the house Representatives Bonnie Coleman and Pramila Jayapal have tested positive for COVID19 and blame the maskless Republican legislators they sheltered in place with during the insurrection.

Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf resigned yesterday, citing “recent events,” including ongoing court rulings related to the validity of his authority as Acting Secretary. Wolf did not provide additional detail on his decision, and he will be succeeded by FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor.

President-elect Biden announced plans to nominate William Burns as Director of the CIA.
