This week on EJR, I will discuss the role of vulture corporate law firms, lobby groups and the bill mill known as ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council), as they work to criminalize dissent and nullify the right of local munincipalities, states or foreign nations to sue for the environmental crimes of big fossil fuel. The first part of the show will discuss a pending bill which will protect big oil from lawsuit due to the COVID crisis.

We will also discuss the miscarriage of justice in the Steven Dongziger case. Donziger is one of the attorneys who won a huge settlement against Chevron for their crimes in the Amazon.
