In Chapter 3, Jesus had a spiritual conversation at night with a Jewish man who was also a religious leader and ruler of the Jews. In Chapter 4, Jesus has a similar discussion. This time during the day, with an immoral Samaritan woman who was also a social outcast. In so doing, Jesus illustrates that a person is never so good as not to need salvation and never so bad as not to find it. In John 4, Jesus models for us how we too can engage in spiritual conversations with those who need to hear the Gospel.
