In 1 Peter chapter 3, the apostle Peter extends the principle of submission to authority in the world and the workplace to the home. He challenges wives to submit to their husbands so that even if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over by observing the way they live their lives. On the other hand, husbands are to honor and respect their wives, treating them as a fellow heir of the grace of life.
