Synopsis: Obervance of the Passover and the Lord's Supper is not mere ritual. Through them we participate in and are drawn into the great story of God and His Kingdom. The meals are about remembering and see our lives subsumed in the metanarrative that gives our lives eternal significance and meaning. We are not called to merely a cerebral faith; rather, we are called to a faith that is fully embodied and grounded -- physically, in our relationships, in our history and personal stories. The historic traditions passed onto us and the action of eating, of remembering, of paricipating helps us to appropriate our faith in ways that go beyond our minds, embedding themselves insated into the fabric of our concrete lives.
