Synopsis: Human "wisdom" apart from the wisdom of God leads not only to significant error and to a poor grasp of reality (and, thus, to an unfulfilled life and community), but it also leads to self-assured confidence that believes it is strong but, ultimately, is profoundly weak. Ironically, the world considers the Christian faith to be foolish when in fact only in Christ can the eternal truths of life be found. Leaning on the wisdom of Christ is the only means through which fallible humans in the church can live in the fullness of their design and call.
