In this extended edition of Wine, Women, and Revolution, Heather hosts a panel discussion of 3 amazing women organizers from Black Lives Matter, Jennifer, Shana, and Shevone. They discuss the shootings of Rashawn Washington and LaShanda Anderson, state sanctioned racial violence, “allyship”, gentrification, and what people can do if they really want to help support justice and equity (Hint: It involves not calling the police all the time). If you find this panel helpful and educational please support the efforts of these activists below.

Talking about racial issues can be hard. These women give an open and honest account of how racism hurts. White people need to do better. If you are committed to doing better, listen to these women. Don’t get defensive. Black Lives Matter is doing groundbreaking work. Sometimes we need to shut up and support them. Listen to the wisdom these women share and learn from them. If you have the means, support them financially.

We hope we can have these amazing women back as regulars on the show.
