1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
With loyalty to my Heavenly Father.
1 John 2:1-2
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin.
But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
With confidence in my Advocate.
2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
With the assurance my sins have been atoned for.
With grace because their sins have been atoned for.
