Not having fixed, regular and/or adequate housing. Homelessness is not just people who live on the streets…unfortunately. Homeless is living in shelters, parks, cars, etc…even living temporarily with others while in transition, if not by your choice, is considered homeless. Some top causes of homelessness are (1) lack of affordable housing, (2) unemployment, (3) poverty, (4) mental illness and the lack of needed services, (5) substance abuse and the lack of needed services (6) fleeing due to sexual or physical abuse by parents, guardians and/or spouses
