Today's Broadcast is C1E68 for Theme Thursday, October 27th, 2022. Today's theme is a collection of spooky, dissonant, jarring music for the occasion of Halloween, on a program we're calling "They're Coming to Get You, Barbara" - a "Lost Level", originally intended for C1E37: Halloween 2018, then bumped to C1E48: Halloween 2019, before being bumped indefinitely, and lost to the sands of time....UNTIL NOW! Featuring a music block produced all the way back in July of 2018, making today's broadcast "THE KING OF LOST LEVELS"! And even though the "production quality" of a music block this old is far inferior to our current fresh productions, the "design philosophy" behind this block remains to this day the most sophisticated thing I've ever done. I'll let the intro tell the story!

Music Block Runtime: 01:38:39 / Total Episode Runtime: 01:56:15

Our intro music is a modified version of Malo Mart, from LoZ: Twilight Princess, on the GameCube and Wii, slowed WAY down, and uploaded to YouTube by YouTuber “lovesims26”. Original version composed by Tōru Minegishi, Asuka Hayazaki, and/or Kōji Kondō. The howling wind effect was complement of YouTuber "AndreeaRR

". Our outro music is Funky Radio, from Jet Grind Radio, on the Sega Dreamcast, composed by B.B. Rights.

Intro / Outro / Final Production produced using Ardour 6 / Audacity 3 in Ubuntu Studio [Linux] 22.04 09/05/2022. Music Block produced in GarageBand in macOS 07/23/2018.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The tools and techniques I used back in 2018 in producing the music block were NOT up to my current standards – including featuring less sophisticated fades, more imprecise volume level balancing, less developed track run-order sorting, and even my having used MP3s rather than WAVs in the source production, resulting in a lower-fidelity final product, and further limiting my ability to touch it up after the fact. As such, the production value of this episode will NOT be to par with our current "fresh episodes". But production values aside, the quality of the CONTENT itself, otherwise, I feel, is excellent, and well worth digging up to share with you.....I hope that you'll agree! :-)
