HOW DO THE SEEDS WORK?
Every fan of college basketball, gardening and obsessive, meticulous cataloguing knows that seeding is everything.
For the Tournament of GOATs, every division's Top 4 is determined entirely by episode ratings. Characters from the 4 most-downloaded shows in their division get the Round 1 bye.
From there, the remaining 8 characters are seeded roughly according to episode ratings, with some editorial wiggle room to create the most interesting match-ups. But really, it's listener opinions all the way down!
