This might be the greatest discussion ever had on NE Beer30 (says Grady). Andres Gamboa and his family immigrated to the US from Colombia when he was only 7. Last year, Andres decided to put his family's story on paper and write "The Cost of Citizenship." His book, which is now available for purchase online, describes his family's struggle before, during, and after their immigration to America. Andres and Grady talk about what it's like being an immigrant, Andres' writing process, and what they'd like to see change in the US. Beers had: Lagunitas Waldo's IPA, Surly Brewing's Havoc Machine IPA, and Empyrean Brewing Co's Pitched Blue blueberry ale.
