According to UN figures, the Ukraine conflict has around 10,000 killed in action, but many more wounded. In 2015, Vadym Sviridenko lost both his arms and legs after his convoy was ambushed. Vadym has since undergone extensive rehabilitation treatment both in the United States and in Ukraine, where he now runs marathons.
