In honor of Arizona becoming the 48th state admitted to the Union on February 14, 1912, today's episode of Big Blend Radio features Lisa Hopper, Executive Director of the Arizona Heroes Memorial.

The AZ Heroes Memorial pays tribute to Arizona's veterans, active military, first responders, and healthcare workers. The site in Naranja Park, Oro Valley, AZ is currently under construction, with an expected completion of Summer 2024. When complete, the Memorial will be open to the public, allowing for a dedicated space in which to remember and learn about the Grand Canyon State's heroes.
