Meet Edd Moore, the level three teacher at Damers School in Poundbury England, who has championed the power of children to create change in his community. The Damers school children are out to save the world, and started in their own schoolyard. They have gardens, their own child-size kitchen and outdoor classrooms. Their campaigns have eliminated the plastic in the food that is brought into their school. They have a goal of creating a plastic-free Dorchester and even sell their own beeswax covering, Waxtastic (that eliminates the need for plastic).

Be inspired about the power of one to create meaningful change. Get tips from Edd on how to champion your own school and community!

Last week, Jane Goodall awarded the Damers schoolchildren with the Jane Goodall Roots and Shoots Award: Outstanding Group of the Year. Other awards include the National Young Enterprise award and many eco school honors, including a visit to St. James Palace!
