The 2020 Nobel Peace Prize recognizes the WFP’s “efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon … ”.
In the 1930’s Joseph Stalin used hunger to starve the Ukrainian nation. There is a word for that genocide. It's called the Holodomor.
