This week, Randi and Jaime talk about the new FDA protocol for Mifeprex (aka “the abortion pill”) and how it has increased access to medication abortion in Ohio.  Back in 2004 the Ohio Legislature decided that they knew better than physicians and forced Ohio abortion providers to use an outdated, draconian protocol that increased side effects and costs of the medication abortion procedure. Now with the FDA releasing a new official protocol women in Ohio will be able to get a medication abortion through 70 days gestation (instead of 49), be able to take a third of the dose of Mifeprex, and return to the clinic three times instead of four. This is a huge win for the women of Ohio.

We then check up on the presidential campaign where both Trump and Kasich stuck their foot in their mouth this week. Trump wins the award this week for accidentally saying out loud what we all know anti-abortion folks really believe, which is that women should go to jail (and in fact are already going to jail) for having an abortion.

We wrap up with how a training prop from a National Abortion Federation security trainer shut down an airport in Peoria, Illinois and how the world is now more aware of the terrorism abortion providers face every day across the country.
