Three things in life – your health, your mission, and the people you love. That’s it. Naval Ravikant

If you’re like me (even though my health is not very good), you become resistant at the mention of healthy eating. Bean sprouts and radishes – yuck. Give me a good ole hamburger any day. Right? Yet, the more I learn about healthy lifestyles and chronic illness, the more I hear about eating the right way. Like a carrot dangling in front of the horse to get him to move, health and feeling good is my carrot.

Of course, when we don’t feel good, our business suffers as well. That’s #2 of the quote above. Our mission is wanting to have the best business and doing the most to help others that we can. Without being healthy ourselves, that makes it harder to complete #2.

Finally, I want to be around for the people I love. I want to be able to do things with and for them – not just having them wait on me endlessly because I can’t do anything for myself. That’s #3.

In today’s conversation with Suz Carpenter, I had (and hope you will too) an AHA moment. You don’t have to stop eating everything you love, just start one step at a time by adding in one good thing and maybe not eating as much of one bad thing. She was a down-to-earth proponent of living a healthy lifestyle and also shared with us how these changes can help our business. As well, we talked about some of the things she herself (also a chronic illness warrior) has done to help her business, when perhaps all she really wanted to do was Take.A.Nap. This is a great show today.
