Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Chris moved to Canton at the age of two before settling down in Dublin, Georgia by the age of five. It was during this time that he discovered his love for singing, drawing inspiration from Boyz II Men, Usher, Avant (his cousin), Luther Vandross, and Gerald Levert, among others.
