Megamind

To close out 2023, we are watching a listener-recommended movie: Megamind, starring Will Farrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, David Cross and Brad Pitt (with just a hint of J.K. Simmons!). 

Megamind learns at a young age that he's pretty terrible at being good. Tired of trying to win the adoration of his classmates, he reinvents himself as an incredibly handsome criminal genius and master of all villainy. Sure, he always loses to his superhero rival, but that doesn't stop him! When he unexpectedly destroys his rival (using copper and the awesome power of the Sun), he's left without a purpose and the very foreign thought that maybe being a good guy isn't such a bad thing? Especially not when it means he gets to spend time with his former frequent hostage, the smart and beautiful news reporter Roxanne Ritchi.
