We saw the first Polynesian buyback happen in December of 2020, and the second contract happened in January of 2021. However, in February of 2021, DVC went on a buying spree for Polynesian points. February 5th, DVC raised the price per point on the Polynesian resort to $250 a point. Bay Lake Tower also remains strong for buybacks in 2021. Interestingly enough, we saw an average sales price of $156 for Bay Lake Tower and the highest buyback executed at $161 per point. Disney clearly had the opportunity to buy cheaper contracts, but this illustrates that there is no clear-cut pattern to DVC exercising their right of first refusal on contracts.

For the full ROFR report please see DVC Resale Market's blog post and their average sales prices report. We've included links to the primary research data from both report below.

In terms of inventory analytics, at the time of recording, inventory was down to 201 listings. We're in a strong seller's market for all contracts. Aulani, which has typically been the most difficult contract to resell, only had one listing. Derek reported that 85% of contracts sell within 7 days, and quite often, they see contracts sell within hours or minutes of listings. If you're looking for a contract, we highly recommend using the DVC Resale Market app.
