"He was a dirty player. He deserved it."

Yes, there was nothing in Flyers history like the Broad Street Bullies.

But there was one almost. The mid-80's team. Tough. Skilled. Ferocious.

And the toughest one of them all was Dave Brown. One of the NHL's greatest enforcers. 

A Bruise Brother. One of my favorites growing up for reasons you'll hear in the episode.

He later went on to win a Cup with, ironically, the hated Oilers. But he's a Flyer. Always a Flyer. And Tomas Sandstrom deserved that crosscheck to the head. 

He f$%ckin did. Good thing Dave was there to give it to him.

Dave Brown. Flyers legend. He inspired me once at 14 years old.
