This episode is entitled The Anniversary Edition because 12 months to the day I published the first edition of Music Talks, with my guest Steve Clayton.

As I have stated several times most Podcasts don’t get past Episode 7. This is a very important milestone for me and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has listened over the past year and for the great support I have had.

Downloads are now running at 1000 per month and that is way above what  I was targeting a year ago. More important than numbers though are the new friendships that have been made and the existing friendships that have been deepened. This is one of the most joyful, fulfilling things I have ever done and for that I am immensely grateful.

To mark this milestone, I wanted a special guest and I have one. As I say at the start of the episode,  without Jesse Jackson and his encouragement and support, I would not be podcasting, and Music Talks would not exist. I went on to Jesse’s Podcast “Set Lusting Bruce” in June 2018 as a guest and everything followed from there.

Jesse is 61, with deep southern roots in Louisiana and has lived in Dallas since 1986. His dad was in the military and so he moved around a lot growing up including a stint in Germany. He & his wife Linda are celebrating 40 years together this year and they are proud parents to Chris, 31.

As you would guess Jesse has a deep love of Mr Springsteen, as well as Podcasting, Comic Books and Dr.Who. As you will hear he is also one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

We covered a lot of musical ground in this episode as you can hear on the Playlist below.

Enjoy 😊
