Shelley Brunt and Liz Giuffre are Music Mothers and Others. More specifically, they’re academics, music industry specialists and people who are parents. The Doctor Ladies meet well over a decade ago, busy then specialising in popular music studies, screen, media, music industry and other bright young things. Since having their own bright young things they have continued those studies with a personal and professional U-Turn into how these work (or don’t) for parents, carers and families. When they’re not making the show they’re writing a book Popular Music and Parenting (Routledge, 2021), as well as researching, teaching and playing hide and seek.
