‘The Boonies’ Movie Synopsis

The Boonies is loosely based on The Goonies movie from yesteryear. The film begins on the eve of graduation from Boone High School when someone murders a geeky high school student named Doug. Upon his death, someone else blasts out a video message to the entire school telling them about a million-dollar treasure hunt somewhere within the walls of the building. The only catch is that his five former friends, whom he refers to as the Boonies, hold the keys to solving his mystery. Will the five frenemies be able to come together long enough to solve the riddle and become millionaires? Along the way, our Boonies must out run the Cheerleader clique, the Outcast clique, and the Silver Skull gang; looking to kill them all for the money, but will they kill each other first?
