Accolades are a by-product of a passion for what you do. On today’s episode Maurtice Ivy shares how her success as a college athlete inspired her to continue teaching others. Listen in as Jennifer and Maurtice discuss the importance of communicating with your team, teaching younger generations to set goals and plan for the future, and the three things you can do to consistently lead your team to success.

Maurtice Ivy is a former college basketball player who is known as being one of the most athletic players in University of Nebraska history, being the first player in Husker history to surpass the 2000-point mark. Maurtice was one of five players chosen to be on Nebraska’s All Century Team in 2000 and she was also one of the “25 Women of Distinction” chosen as part of the school’s silver anniversary of women’s athletics. Maurtice became the second Husker to have her jersey retired and she along with 2 other 2000-point scorers have been honored with giant banners featuring their names and numbers on display at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
