Mike Ditka shares his journey to success as a professional athlete and coach, explaining how the best leadership can be broken down into key coaching habits. Listen in as Jen and Mike discuss not taking success for granted, the most influential coaches in Mike’s career, and how an early conversation with a coach and mentor helped him stick with football when it mattered most. They also explore how consistency in leadership and habits pays off for your team and how to empower your team to do the right thing on and off the field.

Coach Mike Ditka played college football at Pitt and was drafted fifth overall by the Chicago Bears in the 1961 draft. That year he was named UPI NFL Rookie of the Year as a player. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a six-time All-Pro tight end. He played for the Chicago bears, Philadelphia, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Coach Ditka had the honor of being the first tight end inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988, post his NFL playing career. He started coaching with the Dallas Cowboys and has also served as the head coach of the Chicago Bears as well as head coach for the New Orleans Saints. He is also a three time Super Bowl champ and is only one of two people who have won Super Bowls as a player, assistant and a head coach.
