Xena doesn't do the math and presumes her mom didn't die in the 25 years she's been gone.   Wrong, Mom built the tavern on a hellmouth or such so Xena has to easily best the leader of hell.  Gabby as usual is bad at dealing with Hell.  Eve has the power of Eli compelling everybody.
