The War of Independence Ends and the Beginning of the Northwest Territory
today's episode relates two events important to the history of the United States as well as five of the states that make up the American Midwest, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. The first was the successful conclusion of the Treaty of Paris, that officially ended the United States War of Independence and six months later, the establishment of the huge Northwest Territory.
