Ephesians 4:1-16 --
One common issue within the church was that members were included or excluded from the community based on human standards. Paul reminds the church that they are all united together based on the One God — Father, Son, and Spirit. Though gifts and expressions may differ, the marker of faith and access to God’s community is the same: faith in the saving work of Christ.

The letter to the church in Ephesus and surrounding churches gives them a framework for what God is doing in the world. The unfolding power of God in Jesus Christ flips the structures and authorities that we may be used to - even comfortable with - in ways that call us to live changed lives.
