Psalm 51:1-19 --
In light of previous sin, David approaches God honestly. Instead of shying away or trying to make less of his transgressions, he calls out to God, asking for mercy and forgiveness. Because of the work of Jesus, we too can cry out with hope: God has freely forgiven us by faith as we are united to Christ.
