Romans 12:1-8 --
Paul spends the first eleven chapters of his letter expounding on God’s plan of salvation, ending with praises of wonder and amazement. In light of all of these things, Paul then calls the church to reorient their lives that they may glorify God in the way that they live. As those transformed by the work of Christ, we grow and mature as Christians through our service to one another.

Turning to God in faith transforms us into a new creation -- it changes the way we approach all aspects of our lives. This means that growing in our faith involves the reshaping of our thoughts, attitudes, and regular habits in life. By practicing these transformed habits, we can get a deeper appreciation of who God is and what he is doing in our lives both individually and collectively as a church community.
