Colossians 1:15-20, known as the Christ Hymn or The Messiah Poem, is a stunning view of the singularly unique power of the almighty God and Creator wrapped in the fragile mantle of a crucified man. Today, as we look at the latter half of this hymn in Paul’s letter to the Colossians, we are reminded that Jesus, that man, was God in full. And it is only His ransom of us through a depth of sacrifice we can’t comprehend that has brought and continues to bring us near to Him.
