In Ephesians 5:22-33 Paul turns his attention to how Spirit-filled believers can demonstrate the gospel to a watching world, by giving practical examples beyond the church community and looks at the Christian within the home and society. He explains that marriage is a beautiful picture that can represent the loving sacrifice that Christ gives for his bride, the Church. When we look at Jesus, we can begin to understand how our relationships can be a beautiful counter-cultural display of the wonder and beauty of Christ, our risen Savior, sovereign King, and perfect Groom.
