Carlene Sluberski joins the podcast to talk about her path through women's wrestling. Carlene is the first female to place at the NYS Wrestling Championships placing 2nd in 2009. She went on to win a Junior National title in Fargo before her competitive career at Northern Michigan and Brock University. Carlene also made 2 national teams for USA wrestling. Her coaching career has brought her to the University of Cumberlands to University of Providence to Eastern Oregon and now she made her way back to NY where she has been named the head wrestling coach for the new program, D'Youville Womens Wrestling Saints. D'Youville is one of 5 NY colleges that have added Womens Wrestling and with the growth of the sport at the high school level, I can't wait for the success of women's wrestling to rise!
