The Vancouver Park Board has decided against allowing beer and wine on beaches and parks in a pilot project next summer, and instead voted to conduct a feasibility study into the public consumption of alcohol in certain public spaces. Park Commissioner Dave Demers brought forth the idea of a pilot project next summer, but says he's not really disappointed with the delay.
The study, involving consultation with the public and a study of the legalities and logistics involved , is expected to be complete sometime in the fall of 2019.
