Ron MacDonald from the Independent Investigations Office of BC, confirming that two people - a man and a woman - have died following a hostage situation in Surrey early this morning.
Surrey RCMP, the Emergency Response Team, and an armoured vehicle arrived at a cul de sac near 133 Street and 98A Avenue, where there were shots fired overnight.
Now, the coroner is confirming the deaths.
